Q445: Is The Common Belief on FORNICATION True or False? What is The Biblical Truth About Fornication or Pornography?

I have read your article about FORNICATION and I concurred with what you are teaching. Something in my Spirit has always told me that Marriage was Sex; not just a certificate. The day I had sex with her was the day we were married. 

However, contrary to this, the Church teach that fornication is sex before marriage. I believe Fornication is sex were there is no commitment like whoredom, prostitution, and incest. I appreciate you. I been thinking I am the only one who thinks like that.

It's good that you understood and agreed with God's Truth about the wordly concept of Fornication. The following are my comments to your comments. 

Let's begin first with the origin of the word FORNICATION (1Corinthians 6:18).

• FLEE FORNICATION. (1Cor 6:18 MKJV)

According to STRONG'S DICTIONARY, the word FORNICATION came from the Greek word PORNEIA (G4202), which came from the Greek PORNEUO (G4203).

FORNICATION also means PORNOGRAPHY and other forms of SEXUAL IMMORALITY.

The ORIGIN OF THE WORD 'PORNOGRAPHY'

According to the American Heritage Dictionary, the etymology of PORNOGRAPHY is from the French pornographie, from pornographe, pornographer, from Late Greek pornographos. These are all about Prostitutes: Porne, Prostitute. The Greek word PORNE is the feminine of PORNOS => A Male prostitute.

The word Porneuo (G4203) means to act the harlot, that is, (literally) indulge unlawful lust (of either sex), or (figuratively) practise idolatry. This is where the English word PORNOGRAPHY came from! Thus, Fornication means to be utterly unchaste => To give one's self over to sexual immorality!

The above definitions and description of FORNICATION fall squarely to all forms of pornography in the world today. These include the Internet Pornography that is so widespread and of easy access to everyone.

IN THE EYES OF GOD, A COUPLE IS NOT COMMITTING FORNICATION IF THEY ARE LIVING FAITHFULLY AS A HUSBAND AND WIFE, EVEN WITHOUT THE LEGAL DOCUMENTS!

Today, the World has that common term "LIVE-IN" describing the marital relationship between a Man and a Woman. But, in God's eyes, they are NOT FORNICATING if they live FAITHFULLY with their espouses. Each Couple is already a Husband and Wife. The unnecessary guilt that concerned couples are experiencing is due to the wrong teaching of the Churches about the subject of Fornication.

All man-made Churches teach that a couple living together (live-in) without "legal" marriage is already committing fornication. But the Bible does not teach this doctrine. The definition of FORNICATION today is man-made, NOT according to God's definition.
