Q416: The Thief On The Cross Had No Time Before His Death To Do Any Good Deeds. Is This True?

Reactions from the article: What SUBSTANCE IS THE BRIDE OF CHRIST'S WEDDING GARMENT Made of? How is It Made? The Secret Answers Are In God's Messianic Kabbalah Wisdom Revealed Only To The Genuine Bride of Christ

The thief on the cross had no time before his death to do any good deeds.

And yet Jesus saw his believing heart in Him as the Son of God and heard his confession as he hung there beside Him and was told, "today you will be with Me in Paradise." Salvation is not acquired by works to make ourselves ready, the blood of Jesus did that for us.

Actually, the Thief on the Cross had done Good Works before his death on the Cross. Let's see the Scriptures about this event (Luke 23:39-43).
  • One of the hanged criminals BLASPHEMED HIM, saying, If you are Christ, save Yourself and us. (Luk 23:39 MKJV)
  • … the other rebuked him, saying, DO YOU NOT FEAR GOD, since you are in the same condemnation. (Luk 23:40 MKJV)
  • And we indeed justly so, for we receive the due reward of our deeds, but THIS MAN HAS DONE NOTHING AMISS. (Luk 23:41 MKJV)
  • He said to Jesus, Lord, REMEMBER ME WHEN YOU COME INTO YOUR KINGDOM. (Luk 23:42 MKJV)
  • JESUS said to him…TODAY YOU SHALL BE WITH ME IN PARADISE. (Luk 23:43 MKJV)
Here are some GOOD WORKS or DEEDS the Repentant Thief had done while hanging on the Cross:
  1. He acknowledged the importance of the FEAR OF GOD.
  2. He confessed that he and the other thief had transgressed God’s Law.
  3. He REPENTED of all his SINS.
  4. He believed that they were being punished JUSTLY.
  5. Most importantly, he confessed the innocence of Christ, by saying, “The Man had done “nothing amiss.”
  6. He accepted and trusted Christ as his Savior and KING.
The Repentant and Transformed Thief believed that Christ was a “KING” and that the Crucifixion would not terminate the Savior’s Eternal Life. Rather, the Lord would “come in His Kingdom.” And he requested Christ to remember and to accept him in the Kingdom of God.

These statements shew that the thief believed in the Resurrection/Reincarnation. That is, to live again with the Lord after both of them were dead.
  • WHOEVER SHALL CONFESS ME before men, The SON OF MAN ALSO SHALL CONFESS him before the Angels of God. But HE WHO DENIES ME before men SHALL BE DENIED before the Angels of God. (Luk 12:8-9 MKJV)
  • IF WE SUFFER, WE SHALL ALSO REIGN WITH HIM: if we deny Him, He also will deny us: (2Tim 2:12 KJV)
  • Jesus said to His disciples, "If anyone wants to come with Me, he must deny himself, TAKE UP HIS CROSS, and FOLLOW ME. (Mat 16:24 HCSB)
Thus, the Good Thief suffered with Christ, therefore, he will reign and be glorified with Him also (Romans 8:16-17, 2Timothy 2:12).
  • The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that WE ARE THE CHILDREN OF GOD…heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ...IF WE SUFFER WITH HIM, WE also be GLORIFIED TOGETHER. (Rom 8:16-17 MKJV)
All the above Scriptures show that your statement of "Salvation is not acquired by works to make ourselves ready, the blood of Jesus did that for us" is an example of Fallen Human Reasoning. The Bible NEVER SAYS THAT; it is only you and those fallen Pastors who said that.
