Q33: SHOULD WE LOOK AND BE CONCERNED ONLY AT THE FULFILLMENT OF PROPHECIES? HOW CAN WE AVOID DECEPTION In This Common Method To Attract People In Joining Religion?

A prophecy for the end of this world unless you repent and join their church is sometimes a very dangerous proposition. Why I said that? Because there is a tendency that if the prophecy does not happened they will make it happen and this is the end of the world for them. They annihilate themselves!

LOPE: Bert, this is a common tactic of many churches and religion -- to blackmail people to join their group, otherwise, "they will not be saved," or "they will go to hell," etc, etc. The pastors and leadership of those churches should be warned that severe punishment from God is waiting for them, unless they repent.

GOD'S GUIDE TO PROPHECIES AND DREAMS:

Look At The DIRECTION Of The Prophecy! 

Here is the KEY sign, whether to follow a prophet, church, or any religion: Look at the DIRECTION of the prophecy, to where it is leading you -- to the TRUE GOD, or to other Gods?

The fulfillment of the prophecy is immaterial. When the prophecy comes true, be very careful; this is a scenario for more deception. From God Himself, take warning from His own words (Deu 13:1-5 HCSB):

• If a prophet or someone who has dreams arises among you and proclaims a sign or wonder to you, and that sign or wonder he has promised you comes about, but he says, 'Let us follow other gods,' which you have not known, 'and let us worship them,' (Deu 13:1-2)

• Do not listen to that prophet's words or to that dreamer. For the LORD your God is testing you to know whether you love the LORD your God with all your heart and all your soul. (Deu 13:3)

• You must follow the LORD your God and fear Him. You must keep His commands and listen to His voice; you must worship Him and remain faithful to Him. (Deu 13:4)

• That prophet or dreamer must be put to death, because he has urged rebellion against the LORD your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt and redeemed you from the place of slavery, to turn you from the way the LORD your God has commanded you to walk. You must purge the evil from you.  (Deu 13:5)
