Does the Bible only provide specs for a Godly wife? What about the husband? Does a woman as written in the Bible given the freedom of choice?

Lope Columna: If there is a Godly wife, there must be a Godly husband. Here are the major specs for a Godly husband:
- Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; that he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, (Eph 5:25-26 KJV).
Ephesians 5:25-26 means that husbands must love their wives according to the way that Christ loves the Church. Christ never submits to every wile and wish of His Church. The right way for a husband to love his wife is to sanctify her, and to cleanse her with the words of God, as what Christ is doing with His Church -- to purify Her. This means that the husband should guide, or grants her wife's wishes to salvation, not to her worldly wishes and desires.
- We truly love God only when we obey him as we should, and then we know that we belong to him. If we say we are his, we must follow the example of Christ. (1John 2:5-6 CEV)
Once a woman is married to a man, she has no choice but to submit to the authority of her husband. If her husband is getting off-track, the wife should not correct the husband, but just kept silent and pray to God about the problem.
- Wives, be in subjection to your own husbands, so that if any do not obey the Word, they may also be won without the Word by the conduct of the wives, having witnessed your chaste behavior in the fear of God. (1Pet 3:1-2 MKJV)
Of course, if the husband is doing or planning something that is against the Laws of God, the wife should follow God instead of the husband. But never fight your husband. Put everything in God's hands.
Lope Columna: 1 Timothy 5:8 gives another specs of a Godly husband: To be the Bread-Provider of the Family.
- But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially his family, he has denied the faith and is worse than an infidel. (1Ti 5:8 MKJV)
- You husbands, in like manner, live with your wives according to (God's) knowledge, giving honor to the woman, as to the weaker vessel, as being also joint heirs of the grace of life; that your prayers may not be hindered. (1Pe 3:7 HNV)
Arnel Amador: Thanks Lope.
