What has "pride" got to do with wanting to to know where in the scriptures can we find your proposed dogma? That's the old WCG judgmental thinking where people are branded rebels by simply asking for scriptural proof of certain teachings. Why don't you stick to the basics, otherwise your so called "deep understanding" will only strengthen the old folks notion that reading the Bible will make people crazy. · Like · 2

Eleno, I did not mention "Pride" with regard to your asking of
questions. I mentioned "Pride" with regard to Goliath's attitude toward
God, Israel, David and his slingshot weapon. Please review my comments. You also mentioned, "the old WCG judgmental thinking." Is it not you who are judgmental toward my article when you said, "are you merely creating a mountain out of a molehill? Or is it a private & personal "haka-haka" which the Bible outrightly prohibits? (2 Peter 1:19-21)." These questions of yours contain a negative judgmental spirit.
If I may appear judgmental, it is in a positive direction; to awaken and teach people the supernal truths of God that will bring people to repentance and true salvation. I'm giving you the opportunity to learn new or advanced truths of God, yet you don't like them. And you even told me to stick to the basics, which is a disobedience to the command of the Bible written in Hebrews 6:1-2. The following GOD'S WORD (GW) Bible Translation makes it very clear.
- With this in mind, WE SHOULD STOP GOING OVER THE ELEMENTARY TRUTHS ABOUT CHRIST and move on to topics for more mature people. WE SHOULDN'T REPEAT THE BASICS about turning away from the useless things we did and the basics about faith in God. (Heb 6:1 GW)
- We shouldn't repeat the basic teachings about such things as baptisms, setting people apart for holy tasks, dead people coming back to life, and eternal judgment. (Heb 6:2 GW)
The BASICS OF THE BIBLE is called "MILK," and the ADVANCED BIBLICAL KNOWLEDGE that gives the DEEP UNDERSTANDING of the Bible is called the "STRONG MEAT."
When you said, "'deep understanding' will only strengthen the old folks notion that reading the Bible will make people crazy," you are contradicting God and His Bible! The truth is: It is the sticking to the "BASICS" or "MILK" teachings of the Bible that will really MAKE PEOPLE "CRAZY" (Rom 1:21. 28).
- For THOUGH THEY KNEW GOD (Basic Knowledge only), they did not glorify Him as God or show gratitude. Instead, THEIR THINKING BECAME NONSENSE, and THEIR SENSELESS MINDS WERE DARKENED. (Rom 1:21 HCSB)
- Because THEY DID NOT THINK IT WORTHWHILE TO RETAIN THE FULL (ADVANCED) KNOWLEDGE OF GOD, God gave them over to DEGRADED MINDS to perform acts that should not be done. (Rom 1:28 ISV)

I agree with Ioioi. We must COMBINE THE BASICS AND ADVANCED TEACHINGS
of the Bible! This is the command of Hebrew 6:1-2. If we obey Hebrews 6:1-2,
then we can be prepared and make ready for the coming MARRIAGE of the
