Rafael Uy · Grabe naman kayo... you must be watching too much movies! The bible simply says David used a single ordinary stone to kill Goliath. The stone may perhaps as big as David fist and he used a sling shot to catapult the stone to hit Goliath here. If you know physics, The centrifugal force of acceleration can generate a force that can sink that stone into the forehead of the giant. Nothing fancy here. I wonder why you make so much fuzz on david using High tech stone! Tsk tsk tsk. Are you simply implying you have deeper understanding above all other else and making an impression? Lope Columna Mr. Uy, you are acting like Goliath, who despised David and his weapon of Slingshot. In so doing, you are despising the LORD's Great Name, which is to destroy you, like Goliath; if you don't repent of that foolishness that just shoots out of your ignorance about the awesome power of the LORD's Name!

Ioioi Iooiio i think it's not just a simply stone, how could you aim the enemy forehead using that kind of weapon maybe there is miraculous manipulation, then, why Goliath forehead expose in the battle while Goliath is a warrior type where is his helmet during the time or he allowed tiny David to shot his forehead for a challenge. Another one Mr. Uy believe that david using his only power to defeat Goliath and using simply stone. In that case maybe Goliath stronger that david or David mastered using that kind of weapon.
Lope Columna I just wonder with the ignorance and childishness of the so-called "Christians" today. Mr. Rafael Uy belittled and made trivial the slingshot of David that killed Goliath; and Mr. Eleno Mellomida asks, "are you merely creating a mountain out of a molehill? Where are the scriptures to prove you claim?" These attitudes and mindset are the very attitude and mindset of the proud Goliath who despised God, Israel, and David.
Are these "Christians" not afraid that what happened to Goliath can also happen to them? By contrast, David -- who is after God's own heart, knew the awesome power of the LORD's name, making it the weapon to destroy the proud Goliath, as written in 1Samuel 17:45:
- David said to the Philistine, You come against me with a dagger, spear, and sword, but I COME AGAINST YOU IN THE NAME OF THE LORD OF HOSTS, the God of Israel's armies--you have defied Him. (1Samuel 17:45)
And another "Christian" is only able to see the PHYSICS of David's slingshot; but he is blind and ignorant about the spiritual power of that Slingshot that involved God's Name! Instead of glorifying God in the fight between David and Goliath, as David did; these "Christians" are in their comfort zone of just looking at it in a trivial and scientific ways! What a dark blindness that these people have imposed on themselves! · Like · 1
Lope Columna The most important message and lesson that everyone should learn from this story of David vs Goliath is the super-important role and awesome power of the LORD's Name in the destruction of Israel's enemies, and the protection and preservation of God's true followers -- His Chosen People! This is the very reason why it is written in the Bible! If it is only for a Physics lesson, it should not be written in the Bible; there are lots of Physics Books that already explain the principle of centrifugal and centripetal forces!

To give my answer to the above "Goliath-type" arguments: I'm just doing what is stated in Psalms 86:12:
- I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I WILL GLORIFY THY NAME FOR EVERMORE.
- ... NEITHER SHALT THOU PROFANE THE NAME OF THY GOD: I AM THE LORD. (Lev 19:12)
- If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, TO GIVE GLORY UNTO MY NAME, saith the LORD of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart. (Mal 2:2 KJV)
