Q104: IN REVELATION 19:14, WHO ARE THE ARMIES THAT FOLLOW JESUS CHRIST? Are They Angels or Us (The Chosen Ones)?

Revelation 19:14 says: "The Armies which were in Heaven followed Him upon white horses, CLOTHED IN FINE LINEN, WHITE AND CLEAN." Who are the armies that follow Christ? Are they Angels or us? And does that take place soon?

THE ARMIES WHICH WERE IN HEAVEN followed Him upon white horses, CLOTHED IN FINE LINEN, WHITE AND CLEAN.  (Rev 19:14 KJV)

QUESTION: Who are the Armies in Heaven that followed Christ? 

ANSWER: The Armies are composed of the Saints (God's Chosen Ones) and their Angels, as well as, the Angels of the LORD and KING MESSIAH -- Jesus Christ. They are all clothed in Fine Linen - all holy, pure, and righteous. They are all riding upon white horses, which are emblems of triumph or victory.

The following Scriptures explain:

WHO AND WHAT ARE THE ANGELS? WHAT ARE THEIR FUNCTIONS?

Angels are ministering or serving spirits for the sake of those God will grant Salvation and Eternal Life. They are also the "Security Guards" that God the Father assigned to His Children for their safety and protection.

• Aren't THEY ALL SERVING SPIRITS, SENT OUT TO DO SERVICE FOR THE SAKE OF THOSE WHO WILL INHERIT SALVATION?  (Heb 1:14 HNV)

• For He will give His Angels charge over you, to guard you in all your ways.  (Psa 91:11 HNV)

• THE ANGEL OF THE LORD encamps round about those who fear Him, and delivers them.  (Psa 34:7 HNV)

BOTH THE HOLY ANGELS AND THE SAINTS (CHOSEN ONES) ARE CLOTHED IN PURE AND WHITE LINEN

• And the 7 angels came out of the temple, having the 7 plagues, clothed in pure and white linen...  (Rev 15:6 KJV)

• ... The Marriage of the lamb has come and HIS BRIDE HAS MADE HERSELF READY. She has been given the privilege of WEARING FINE LINEN, dazzling and pure." (The fine linen represents the righteous deeds of the saints.)  (Rev 19:7-8 ISV)

What are the pure and white linen? Pure and white linen are emblem of holiness and purity. These are the common representation with regard to the citizens of heaven. 

BOTH THE HOLY ANGELS AND GOD'S CHOSEN ONES (MESSIANIC JEWS AND JEWISH CHRISTIANS) ARE CITIZENS OF HEAVEN

The Holy Angels are surely citizens of Heaven. So do we -- the chosen and faithful children of God (Php 3:20). These holy citizens of heaven will be the ones that will compose the Entourage or the Armies of the King Messiah -- Jesus Christ when He returns to Earth from Heaven (Rev 19:14).

• OUR CITIZENSHIP IS IN HEAVEN, from which we also eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.  (Php 3:20 HCSB)

• ... THEY THAT ARE WITH HIM ARE CALLED, AND CHOSEN, AND FAITHFUL.  (Rev 17:14 KJV)

• THE ARMIES WHICH WERE IN HEAVEN followed him upon white horses, CLOTHED IN FINE LINEN, WHITE AND CLEAN.  (Rev 19:14 KJV)

HOW THE CHOSEN ONES WILL JOIN THE KING MESSIAH AND HIS ANGELIC ARMIES IN HEAVEN (SKY)

• Then they will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory.  (Mar 13:26 HNV)

• Then HE WILL SEND OUT HIS ANGELS, and WILL GATHER TOGETHER HIS CHOSEN ONES FROM THE FOUR WINDS, FROM THE ENDS OF THE EARTH TO THE ENDS OF THE SKY.  (Mar 13:27 HNV)

• For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and THE DEAD IN CHRIST SHALL RISE FIRST. (1Th 4:16 KJV)

• He will send out HIS ANGELS with a great sound of a shofar, and THEY WILL GATHER TOGETHER HIS CHOSEN ONES FROM THE FOUR WINDS, from one end of the sky to the other.  (Mat 24:31 HNV)

• In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, AND WE SHALL BE CHANGED.  (1Co 15:52 KJV)

• He will transform the body of our humble condition into the likeness of His glorious body, by the power that enables Him to subject everything to Himself.  (Php 3:21 HCSB)

• Then WE WHICH ARE ALIVE AND REMAIN SHALL BE CAUGHT UP TOGETHER WITH THEM IN THE CLOUDS, TO MEET THE LORD IN THE AIR: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  (1Thes 4:17 KJV)
