Q48: WHY ARE PEOPLE STILL INTERESTED IN RELIGIOUS FESTIVITIES AND THE LIKE? IF the Passover was that Much Pleasing, Why Would the Son Have to Suffer?

Why are people still interested in Religious festivities and the like. Remember the Creator has never been interested in all these festivities but in fairness and justice.

...if men had known the Mind of God they wouldn't have worried themselves with religious festivities. He has got a much more superior mindset than trivialities we are fighting over. Its high time we as Humans challenge the Creator of the Universe in Thinking. This is what makes Him happy. Folks I rest my case.

Eric Kwame Sakyiama

Lope Columna: Eric, my friend, I respect your opinion, but I have to tell you the TRUTH from God Himself via His Bible. You said that religious festivals like Passover, as our subject here, that it is just "trivial." You also said that "the Creator has never been interested in all these festivities..." I think you are mistaken, my Friend.

IN THE MILLENNIAL RULE OF OF CHRIST IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD, PEOPLE AND NATIONS WILL BE PUNISHED BY NOT KEEPING THE ANNUAL FEAST OF TABERNACLES!

The Book of Zechariah tells us that God is very interested in these Festivities. God Himself instituted these Festivals, and to Him they are not trivialities, such that He will punish severely those people and nations that will not keep the FEAST OF TABERNACLES, the last of the Annual Festivals that begin with the Feast of PASSOVER. The Creator God instituted these Festivals for the benefit of all Mankind.
  • And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The 15th Day of this 7th Month shall be the Feast of Tabernacles for 7 days unto The LORD.  (Lev 23:33-34 KJV)
  • ... every one that is left of all the Nations...shall even go up from year to year to worship The King, The LORD of Hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.  (Zec 14:16 KJV)
  • ...whosoever will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, The LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be NO RAIN.  (Zec 14:17 KJV)
  • If the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.  (Zec 14:18)
  • This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles (Zec 14:19)
Eric, the Feast of Tabernacles is just one of the 7 annual festivals that God instituted starting with the PASSOVER. These Festivals are very important milestones in God's Master Plan for Mankind. You cannot be blessed by God without these Festivals.

Jessie B. Tacliad: Correct!

Eric Kwame Sakyiama: Mr Lope, this is where many people go wayward. It is only the Son's death that satisfies the Father - Isaiah 53:10. Before the Son's entry into the World that was when the Father took delight in these Festivities.

And then the Son comes with knowledge for justification as in Isaiah 53:11-12 to receive his allotted inheritance. I plainly believe the Son will not come to glorify these Religious Festivities but then is bringing a much higher knowledge to Humanity about what his Father's Mind is. What do you say Mr. Lope?

Lope Columna: You are mistaken again, Eric. You said, "It is only the Son's death that satisfies the Father." You must be reminded that this death of the Son (Christ) revolved around the Feast of PASSOVER, which is the beginning of the 7 annual Festivals of God the Father. You also said, "I plainly believe the Son will not come to glorify these Religious Festivities."

Christ Himself contradicts you when He said, "...I have desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer: For I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof, until it be fulfilled in the Kingdom of God" (Luke 22:15-16 KJV).

The SALVATION OF MANKIND REVOLVES AROUND THE PASSOVER SACRIFICE OF CHRIST!

Please revise your beliefs, my friend. Otherwise, your salvation is at great risk.

Jessie B. Tacliad: Wow! Nice explanation buddy!

The OLD TESTAMENT PASSOVER POINTS TO THE ULTIMATE PASSOVER IN THE NEW TESTAMENT!

Eric Kwame Sakyiama: Mr Lope, please, the suffering of Christ on the cross and the eating of the Passover, which came first?

Lope Columna: Eric, Christ Himself -- your Savior, answers your question:
  • "And as they were eating, Jesus took bread and blessed it, and broke it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat, this is My body. And He took the cup and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink all of it. For this is My blood of the NEW COVENANT, which is shed for many for the remission of sins." (Mat 26:26-28 MKJV)
The origin of the Passover is in the Old Testament, during the Exodus. The killing and eating of the Passover Lamb, and the sprinkling of its blood to their houses' door posts are all tokens of the real and final Passover Lamb sacrifice -- Jesus Christ. So, the question of which came first is immaterial.

WHY CHRIST -- THE PASSOVER LAMB SACRIFICE HAVE TO SUFFER. The SECRET BENEFITS OF SUFFERINGS

Eric Kwame Sakyiama: If the Passover was that much pleasing, why would the Son have to suffer? If you care to know there is going to be nothing like Passover in the Kingdom of God. Mr. Lope, you have Kabbala Wisdom so you know what I am talking about.

Lope Columna: Eric, for the answer to this question, go to: Q582 of The BIBLE EXPLAINER.

I hope that all the above explanations help you to clarify many things. If you have further questions, please continue to throw them all to me!
