Q582: If The Passover Was That Much Pleasing, Why Would CHRIST Have To Suffer?

If the Passover was that much pleasing, why would the Son have to suffer?

If you care to know there is going to be nothing like Passover in the Kingdom of God. Mr. Lope, you have Kabbala Wisdom so you know what I am talking about.

Eric Kwame Sakyiama

Lope Columna: Eric, you mentioned Isaiah 53:10, which answers the very question you are asking.
  • Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise Him; He hath put Him to grief (sufferings): when thou shalt make His soul an offering for sin...and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in His hand.  (Isa 53:10 KJV)
WHY CHRIST => THE PASSOVER LAMB SACRIFICE HAVE TO SUFFER. The SECRET BENEFITS OF SUFFERINGS
God the Father was pleased to subject His Son (Christ) to sufferings! What really pleased the Father is the end result of Christ's Passover sufferings = The Salvation of Mankind! The pleasure level of God is very different from our human level of pleasure.

The following additional scriptures will make plainer this misunderstood deep subject of sufferings:

  • But we do see Jesus--made lower than the Angels for a short time so that by God's Grace He might taste death for everyone--crowned with Glory and Honor because of the Suffering of Death.  (Heb 2:9)
  • For it was fitting, in bringing many sons to glory, that He, for whom and through whom all things exist, should make the source of their Salvation PERFECT THROUGH SUFFERINGS(Heb 2:10)
  • "Blessed are you when they insult you and persecute you and falsely say every kind of evil against you because of Me. Be glad and rejoice, because your reward is GREAT in Heaven. For that is how they persecuted the prophets who were before you. (Mat 5:11-12)
  • Rejoice in that day and leap for joy! Take note--your reward is GREAT in Heaven, because this is the way their ancestors used to treat the Prophets. (Luke 6:23)
  • ... we also rejoice in our AFFLICTIONS, because we know that affliction produces endurance, endurance produces proven character, and proven character produces hope. (Rom 5:3-4)
  • As you share in the Sufferings of the Messiah rejoice, so that you may also rejoice with GREAT JOY at the revelation of His glory. (1Pet 4:13)
The TRUE MEANING OF ISAIAH 1:13

Eric Kwame Sakyiama: "Stop bringing me your meaningless gifts; the incense of your offerings disgusts me! As for your celebrations of the new moon and the Sabbath and your special days for fasting--they are all sinful and false. I want no more of your pious meetings." (Isaiah 1:13).

Isaiah 1:13 are the words of the Creator of the Universe the seer and searcher of Hearts, as He spoke through the Prophet Isaiah. He never liked it then and it will never please Him in anyway.

Lope Columna: Eric, you misinterpreted Isaiah 1:13. What God is saying here is about the Festivals of Men, not of HIM. The Passover and the other Festivals that I am sharing with you are GOD'S FESTIVALS, NOT MEN'S.

Eric Kwame Sakyiama: Mr Lope, who was the Prophet Isaiah speaking to? Was he prophesying to Jews or Gentiles? The Prophet Isaiah was prophesying to God's own People (Israelites) who under the cloak of celebrating God's Festivals (Passover and all others) were inwardly doing things to please themselves and not God. Don't get it all wrong. God has never been interested in all these Hypocritical festivals. This is what you need to know.

Lope Columna: Eric, God is directing His message to His Chosen People Israel. And this was a time that Israel rebelled against God by establishing their own Religion, departing from the True Religion of God. Here, they establish their own Sabbaths and Festivals. These are the Festivals that God hates.

A BRIEF HISTORY OF ISRAEL'S CORRUPTION OF GOD'S ORIGINAL DIVINE FESTIVALS

The original Festivals that God instituted began to be corrupted in the Nation of Israel when King Solomon sinned against God by the influence of his pagan wives (1Kings 11:4-11).

When Solomon was old, his wives seduced him to follow other gods. His heart was not completely with The LORD his God, as his Father David's heart had been. Solomon did what was EVIL in The LORD's sight. At that time, Solomon built a high place for Chemosh, the detestable idol of Moab, and for Milcom, the detestable idol of the Ammonites. He also
followed Ashtoreth, the goddess of the Sidonians. He did the same for all his foreign wives, who were burning incense and offering sacrifices to their gods.

The LORD was angry with Solomon, because his heart had turned away from the LORD God of Israel. He had commanded him about this, so that he would not follow other gods, but Solomon did not do what the LORD had commanded. Then the LORD said to Solomon:

  • Since you have done this and did not keep My Covenant and My Statutes, which I commanded you, I will tear the Kingdom away from you and give it to your Servant. (1Kings 11:4-11)
That Servant is the infamous Jeroboam, the son of Nebat, that made Israel to sin more and more (1King 12:28-33).
  • Jeroboam made two gold calves, and he said to the people, "... Israel, here is your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt." He set up one in Bethel, and put the other in Dan. This led to sin; the people walked in procession before one of the calves all the way to Dan.
Jeroboam also built shrines on the high places and set up priests from every class of people who were not Levites. Jeroboam made a festival in the eighth month on the fifteenth day of the month, like the festival in Judah. He offered sacrifices on the altar; he made this offering in Bethel to sacrifice to the calves he had set up. He also stationed in Bethel the Priests for the high places he had set up.

He offered sacrifices on the altar he had set up in Bethel on the fifteenth day of the eighth month, the month he had decided on his own. He made a festival for the Israelites, offered sacrifices on the altar, and burned incense. (1Kings 12:28-33)

So, as I said, these festivals are the Festivals of men, not God's. That's why God hates them (Isaiah 1:14).

  • I HATE YOUR New Moons and prescribed Festivals. They have become a burden to Me; I am tired of putting up with them. (Isa 1:14)
It's the same with the modern Churches and Religions today. The false pagan worship practices started by King Solomon and expanded by Jeroboam, are also practiced by modern religions today. As Christ said in Matthew 15:7-9.
  • Hypocrites! Isaiah prophesied correctly about you when he said: These people honor Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me. They worship Me in vain, teaching as doctrines the commands of men. (Mat 15:7-9)
HE WHO PARTAKES THE PASSOVER UNWORTHILY EATS AND DRINKS CONDEMNATION TO HIMSELF (1Corinthians 11:29)

Eric Kwame Sakyiama: Mr Lope said: "As the Bible said, anyone, or any religion that does not observe or understand the Passover will be condemned or destroyed. But of course, God is fair and merciful, and He will give chance and teach those. Even if they die today, they will be resurrected to life in the future to be given this chance. But those religions that teach Passover, and yet don't practice it, they will receive the greater condemnation." Please give Scriptures to support what you have just written and don't you talk from emotions for the whole world is reading. Thanks.

Lope Columna: Passover, the very first Feast commanded by God to be observed by His people is a very important Feast to be observed and to be understood. If we fail to understand and appreciate what is the true meaning and purpose of the Passover and the following Days of Unleavened Bread, then we have partaken the Passover in an unworthy manner. This means that we acquired Condemnation, instead of Salvation. This is a very serious stuff (1Corinthians 11:29).
  • But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread and drink of that cup. (1Cor 11:28 MKJV)
  • For he who eats and drinks unworthily eats and drinks condemnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's Body.  (1Cor 11:29 MKJV)

CHRIST'S BLOOD SHED AS THE PASSOVER LAMB SACRIFICE IS THE NEW COVENANT

  • And He took the cup and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink all of it. For this is My BLOOD of the NEW COVENANT, which is shed for many for the remission of sins." (Mat 26:27-28 MKJV)
  • ..."Take, eat; this is My body, which is broken for you; this do in remembrance of Me."  (1Cor 11:24 MKJV)
  • In the same way  He took the cup also, after supping, saying, "This cup is the New Covenant in My BLOOD; as often as you drink it, do this in remembrance of Me."  (1Cor 11:25 MKJV)
  • So that whoever shall eat this bread and drink this cup of the Lord unworthily, he will be guilty of the Body and BLOOD of The Lord. (1Cor 11:27 MKJV)
I hope that all the above explanations help you to clarify many things. If you have further questions, please continue to throw them all to me!
