Q91: KUYA LOPE, DO YOU AGREE THAT CHILDREN SHOULD NOT LEARN KABBALAH NOT UNTIL THEY MASTER THE TORAH AND REACH 40 YEARS OLD?

Kuya Lope, do you agree that children should not learn Kabbalah not until they master the Torah and reach 40 years old?

LOPE: No. I don't agree. The Zohar prophesied of the time that 6-year olds will be discussing Messianic Kabbalah.

About the 40 year old requirement, it is applicable before, but not since the time of the Arizal up to the present. The Holy Ari was less than 40 years old when he started to study Kabbalah.

STUDENT: Amein Kuya, they are keeping themselves blind in somehow. How about Rav Ashlag who studied Kabbalah at the age of 7, and Rav Yitzchak Kaduri at the age of 12? Maybe because of fear that the children misinterpret the Kabbalah.

LOPE: There is a prophecy in the Bible that God will remove the wisdom from the wise men and He will give it to the children.
