Q461: Are There Errors in Herbert W. Armstrong Teachings? Or, Some Things Lacking in His Worldwide Church of God (WCG) Doctrines?

Reactions from the Article: WHO ARE THOSE INCLUDED IN THE BLESSED AND HOLY FIRST RESURRECTION? Only Those Who Are Made Holy By The Sabbath Are Blessed To Be Included in The First Resurrection! I believed that Herbert W. Armstrong (HWA) is the Man (angel) who led the Philadelphia era of God's Church (Revelation 3:7). From HWA Worldwide Church of God (WCG), I learned Bible Knowledge. Now, HWA is dead and the WCG divided into many groups. HWA teachings are brought into scrutiny and questioned after his death.

Are there ERRORS really, or some THINGS LACKING?

Sam Mercado The best answer my friend is to attend & visit as many Sabbath, Messianic, Sunday-keeping & other churches & religions in your local community & if available, the international churches & religions. I attended & visited over 50 of them including the Christian colleges & universities, missions, about 8 Christian camps & retreat centers & wrote or mailed letters to over 750 radio/TV evangelists, fellow Christians, Christian foundations, etc. Please don't take my words! Do your own research, in-depth studies at the big libraries, museums, bookstores; listen to the radio/TV evangelists, videos, Internet & all possible sources. "Prove all things. Hold fast that which is good"!

Lope Columna Although, the Scholarship of Men can be of some value, we must be very careful when seeking the Truths of God's Bible.

We must not forget that all men are of fallen and downgraded thinking, such that Human Scholarship can never discover or know the Truths of God's Bible (Isaiah 55:8-9, 1Corinthians 2:9).  

• For MY THOUGHTS ARE NOT YOUR THOUGHTS, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. (Isa 55:8 KJV)

• For as the Heavens are HIGHER than the Earth, so are My Ways higher than your ways, and My Thoughts than your thoughts. (Isa 55:9 KJV)

• As it is written, "Things which an eye didn't see, and an ear didn't hear, which didn't enter into the heart of man, these God has prepared FOR THOSE WHO LOVE HIM."  (1Cor 2:9 HNV)

Thus, if our source is Man's, we are CURSED and is surely deceived (Jeremiah 17:5).

• Thus says The LORD: CURSED IS THE MAN WHO TRUSTS IN MAN, and makes flesh his arm, and whose heart departs from The LORD. (Jer 17:5 HNV)

GOD'S HOLY SPIRIT IS NEEDED TO REALLY UNDERSTAND THE BIBLE TRUTHS

What we need is God's Spirit of Truth to guide and teach us (John 16:12-14, 1Corinthians 2:10).  

• I have yet MANY THINGS TO SAY to you, but you cannot bear them now. (Joh 16:12 MKJV)

• However, when The SPIRIT OF TRUTH, has come, He WILL GUIDE YOU INTO ALL [MESSIANIC KABBALAH]  TRUTH…whatever He hears, He shall speak. And He will announce to you things to come. (Joh 16:13 MKJV) 

Yes, it is GOD The FATHER'S Holy Spirit that reveals the MESSIANIC KABBALAH WISDOM, who is Christ Jesus. By this, Christ is GLORIFIED (John 16:14).

• He will GLORIFY ME, for He WILL RECEIVE OF MINE and will announce it to you. (Joh 16:14 MKJV) 

• ...God revealed [The Hidden MESSIANIC KABBALAH WISDOM] through The SPIRIT. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the DEEP THINGS OF GOD.  (1Cor 2:10 HNV)

• THESE THINGS WE ALSO SPEAK, not in words which man's wisdom teaches, but WHICH THE HOLY SPIRIT TEACHES, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. (1Co 2:13 MKJV)

• But the NATURAL (CARNAL) MAN does not receive the THINGS OF THE SPIRIT OF GOD, for they are foolishness to him; neither can he know them, because THEY ARE SPIRITUALLY DISCERNED. (1Co 2:14 MKJV) 

Thus, the proper and correct understanding of the Sabbath (and other Bible Truths) comes only from God The FATHER who created ALL THINGS, including the Sabbaths; and from the LORD of The SABBATH. And NOT from any man-made source. (Jeremiah 17:7, Luke 24:45).

• BLESSED IS THE MAN WHO TRUSTS in The LORD... (Jer 17:7 HNV)

• Then CHRIST OPENED THEIR MINDS TO UNDERSTAND THE SCRIPTURES. (Luk 24:45 HCSB)
