Q551: Please Explain The O.T. Scriptures Regarding Virgins. And If A Man Finds Out She is Not a Virgin Anymore.

Hi, I have a question regarding "FORNICATION." I am a believer in Christ, but recently have come across the original meaning behind FORNICATION to mean PORNEIA, and not simply sex before marriage.

The Old Testament Scripture regarding VIRGINS and if a Man finds out she is not a Virgin in regards to the definition of FORNICATION.

Our Marriage here on Earth is only a Training/Testing Ground for our ultimate Marriage with Christ in Heaven. Yes, SALVATION is Marriage to our Savior Christ Jesus (2Corinthians 11:2).

The Bible's Definition of Fornication, according to the Hebrew and Greek Translation is about all types of SEXUAL IMMORALITIES (Adultery, Sexual Harassment, Pornography, Prostitution, Homosexuality, LGBT, Same-Sex Marriage, Bestiality, etc.). In the Spiritual Dimension, all these are equivalent to the SINS OF IDOLATRY.

Here are the Scriptures in relation to your question  (Deuteronomy 22:13-14 MKJV).

IF ANY MAN TAKES A WIFE and goes in to her, and HATES HER, and makes shameful charges against her, and brings up an EVIL NAME on her, and says, I took this woman, and when I came to her, I did not find in her the tokens of VIRGINITY, (Deu 22:13-14 )

• then shall the Father of the Girl, and her Mother, take and bring tokens of the Girl's Virginity to the Elders of the City in the gate. (Deu 22:15)

• And the Girl's Father shall say to the Elders, I gave my Daughter to this Man to Wife, and he hates her. (Deu 22:16)

• And, lo, he has made shameful charges against her, saying, I have not found in your Daughter the tokens of VIRGINITY. And yet these are the tokens of my Daughter's VIRGINITY. And they shall spread the cloth before the Elders of the City. (Deu 22:17)

• And the Elders of that City shall take that Man and PUNISH HIM. (Deu 22:18)

• And they shall fine him a hundred shekels of silver, and give them to the Father of the Girl, because he has brought an EVIL NAME on a Virgin of Israel. And SHE SHALL BE HIS WIFE. He may not put her away all his days. (Deu 22:19)

IF THE VIRGINITY IS NOT FOUND DURING MARRIAGE... 

• But IF THIS THING IS TRUE and TOKENS OF VIRGINITY ARE NOT FOUND for the Girl, (Deu 22:20)

• then they shall bring the Girl out to the door of her Father's House, and the Men of her City shall stone her with stones so that SHE DIES, because she has done FOOLISHNESS in Israel to PLAY THE HARLOT in her Father's House. So you shall PUT EVIL AWAY from among you. (Deu 22:21)

KNOW AND UNDERSTAND GOD'S GREAT MYSTERY OF MARRIAGE

Sex and Marriage are such of supernal meaning and importance to the coming SALVATION, which is Marriage to Christ. They should not be taken lightly. All of God's Laws, Statutes, and Judgments given to Moses must be properly understood and obeyed (Malachi 4:4). They should NOT BE DONE by following the teachings of IGNORANT Men, Pastors, and Churches. Your Eternal Salvation is at stake here. In this regard, the Apostle Paul said and wrote in 2Corinthians 11:2:

• I am jealous over you with a Godly jealousy, because I HAVE PROMISED YOU IN MARRIAGE TO ONE HUSBAND -- TO PRESENT A PURE VIRGIN TO CHRIST. (2Cor 11:2 HCSB)

CHRIST confirmed and reinforced this, as written in Matthew 19:9-12. 

• Whoever shall put away his wife, except for FORNICATION, and shall marry another, commits ADULTERY; and whoever marries her who is put away commits ADULTERY. (Mat 19:9 MKJV)

• His disciples said to Him, If this is the case of the man with his wife, it is not good to marry. (Mat 19:10 MKJV)

• But He said to them, NOT ALL RECEIVE THIS WORD, EXCEPT THOSE TO WHOM IT IS GIVEN…HE WHO IS ABLE TO RECEIVE IT, LET HIM RECEIVE IT. (Mat 19:11-12 MKJV) 

Everyone should study and learn God's Great Mystery of Marriage (2Corinthians 11:2, Ephesians 5:31-33). 

• For this cause shall A MAN LEAVE HIS FATHER AND MOTHER, and shall BE JOINED UNTO HIS WIFE, and they TWO SHALL BE ONE flesh. (Eph 5:31 KJV)

• This is A GREAT MYSTERY: but I speak CONCERNING CHRIST and THE CHURCH. (Eph 5:32 KJV) 

• Let EVERY ONE OF YOU in particular so LOVE HIS WIFE even AS HIMSELF; and the WIFE SEE that she REVERENCE HER HUSBAND. (Eph 5:33 KJV)
