Lope Columna OK. This is really hard for most women today, to accept this Truth and Words from the Bible. This is because people today were brainwashed of the strong commercialization of cosmetics and beauty products. But. again, we are faced with a situation to use our free choice: WHO WILL YOU LISTEN TO? GOD, or this Materialistic World? 

Timothy Adebiyi Many people choose a mate searching for Ms. Beautiful and Mr. Tall, Dark, and Handsome.This standard can only be attained in movies, fashion show and vogue. But, less than 1% attainable in the real world. WHY WASTE UR TIME AND OPPORTUNITY?

Lope Columna Timothy, God-fearing women today are hard to find. Blessed is the Man searching for a Wife to find this precious treasure. One best thing to do to find such a wife is to ask God for such a woman (Proverbs 19:14).

Lope Columna ‎@Patricia. With regards to the handsome men, we must be reminded that our LORD Jesus Christ is not Tall, Dark, and Handsome as we expect (Isaiah 53:2). 

• ... He hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see Him, there is no beauty that we should desire Him. (Isa 53:2 KJV)

Lope Columna Thanks for the clarification, Patricia. Here are my answers to your question:

If the FEAR OF GOD makes a woman or wife beautiful, then its the same with a Man. A Man is considered handsome or prudent husband if he is a God-fearing husband.

Here are the major specs for a Godly Handsome Man or God-fearing husband:

1. ... ABLE MEN, such as FEAR GOD, MEN OF TRUTH, HATING COVETOUSNESS... (Exo 18:21 KJV)

2. A WISE MAN. This is very important because "A leader who lacks understanding is very oppressive..." (Pro 28:16 HCSB)

3. NOT "UNDER THE SAYA" or hen-pecked. To the woman he said... Your desire will be for your husband, and HE WILL RULE OVER YOU." (Gen 3:16 HNV)

4. The BREAD-PROVIDER OF THE FAMILY (1Tim 5:8). "But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially his family, he has denied the Faith and is worse than an infidel." (1Tim 5:8 MKJV)

5. LOVES HIS WIFE AS CHRIST LOVES HIS WIFE (the Church or BRIDE). "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; that he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word." (Eph 5:25-26 KJV).

Ephesians 5:25-26 is the ideal and the ultimate responsibility of a Godly husband. The very high quality of Christ's love to the Church is the ultimate goal and standard. Unfortunately, this verse is commonly misunderstood by many Churches and Pastors as to suggest to the husbands to submit to the wiles and wishes of their wives. This opens the temptation for the wives to domineer the husband. The True Church never domineers Christ.

Ephesians 5:25-26 means that husbands must love their wives according to the way that Christ loves the Church. Christ never submits to every wile and wish of His Church. The right way for a husband to love his wife is to sanctify her, and to cleanse her with the words of God, as what Christ is doing with His Church -- to purify Her. This means that the husband should guide, or grants her wife's wishes to Salvation, not to her worldly wishes and desires. 

• We truly love God only when we obey Him as we should, and then we know that we belong to Him. If we say we are His, we must follow the example of Christ. (1John 2:5-6 CEV)

IN CONCLUSION: The husband must live and treat his wife according to the teachings and knowledge of the Creator God, NOT according to the worldly and man-made ideas and concepts of marriage and family. 

• You Husbands, in like manner, live with your wives according to (God's) knowledge, giving honor to the woman, as to the weaker vessel, as being also joint heirs of the Grace of Life; that your prayers may not be hindered. (1Pet 3:7 HNV)

GOD, not man, is the inventor of Sex, Marriage, and Family. If a husband, or a wife for that matter, will listen to man's worldly concepts of marriage, instead of listening to God's message, then we can expect more divorce, broken homes, delinquent children, same-sex marriages, and all sorts of perverted marriage relationships and immorality.

A woman of great faith in God and submissive to her husband, is a husband's glory, making her beautiful in the eyes of God and man through this strength of character and righteous living..."as charm is deceit and beauty is passing, but a woman who reveres the Lord shall be praised!

It's so hard to be a Godly woman when all around you are bombarded with obvious and even subliminal messages to buy or get something or change yourself so you can be 'beautiful'. But with God's grace, and with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, if you belong to Jesus, you can be a Godly and beautiful woman! =)

Lope Columna Yes, it's hard, Patricia. Just like the narrow gate -- it's hard to enter into it: "How narrow is the gate and difficult the road that leads to life, and few find it." (Mat 7:14 HCSB). 

But Our LORD said that it can be entered, and we are commanded by Christ to enter it: "Enter through the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the road is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who go through it. (Mat 7:13 HCSB)

Marren Juangco Mr.Lope, I just want to add up a statement in your 4th comment, well, I guess, if we'll base the statement in contemporary generation, God-fearing Man is harder to find than God-fearing Woman. Anyway, I think beautiful woman looks beautiful with her cosmetics but she's MORE beautiful if she's GOD-centered and has a GOD-fearing heart. Cosmetics is like a BONUS in woman's personality. LOL

Lope Columna Marren, please don't mix the Truth of God with that of the world's ungodly traditions. You might be joking, but when you said that "Cosmetics is like a BONUS in woman's personality," what you are actually saying is, "Let's eat from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil." There is GOOD in this forbidden tree, and there is also EVIL. The danger here is that God said that whoever eat from this tree will "SURELY DIE" (Genesis 2:17, 2Corinthians 6:14-18). 

• Do not be mismatched with unbelievers. For what partnership is there between righteousness and lawlessness? Or what fellowship does light have with darkness? (2Cor 6:14 HCSB)

• What agreement does Christ have with Belial? Or what does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? (2Cor 6:15 HCSB)

• And what agreement does God's sanctuary have with idols? For we are the sanctuary of the living God, as God said: I will dwell among them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be My people. (2Cor 6:16 HCSB)

• Therefore, come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord; do not touch any unclean thing, and I will welcome you. (2Cor 6:17 HCSB)

• I will be a Father to you, and you will be sons and daughters to Me, says the Lord Almighty. (2Cor 6:18 HCSB)
